From Law to UX: Designing for Impact
My journey into UX started in an unexpected place - the legal departments of Fortune Global 500 companies. For nearly a decade, I worked as an in-house lawyer, solving high-stakes problems and collaborating with finance, engineering, medical, marketing, and logistics teams. At Novartis, I played a key role in helping cancer patients across multiple markets gain access to life-saving treatments—an experience that reinforced my passion for human-centered problem-solving.
Bridging the Gap Between Complexity and Usability
While working closely with engineers, I became fascinated by technology’s ability to streamline workflows and improve experiences. To better support technical projects, I started learning Java, but what truly captivated me was how users interacted with software—their frustrations, inefficiencies, and unmet needs. I realized my strength in breaking down complexity and advocating for users was a perfect fit for UX Design.
Determined to make the transition, I earned a UX Design certificate, completed a design internship at a bank, and obtained a master’s degree in UX Design.
Designing for SaaS, and Emerging Technologies
Now, as a UX Designer with 4 years of experience, I specialize in crafting intuitive, scalable experiences for Web, Saas, and AI/ML-powered software. At IstoVisio (syGlass), I led the redesign of a 3D software menu, improving navigation and reducing multi-click operations through voice commands.
I thrive on solving intricate design challenges, transforming complex workflows into user-friendly experiences, and pushing the boundaries of emerging technologies.
